Nutty and oaky, but brief and fleeting on the palate...light tannins. If in the mood for something bland, this is a good go to wine

I bought it for the unbelievingly tacky monkey label with little hope for the flavor and was pleasantly surprised. Subtle tart cherry nice tannins.
