Jul 18th, 2016Meh. Misses both targets: it's too sweet and tropical to hit the bracing crispness of a Pinot Grigio, but the sweetness isn't developed and owned like a Gris. The nose has nice tropical mineral, the palate is juicy and a bit tart, and the finish has that ineffable "off-ness" of a cheap wine. This feels very Californian, not in a good way. Don't hate it, but I'd never buy it again.
