Inky purple in color with aromas of plum, fig, violets, and spice. Very dense with somewhat raisinated dark fruit on the palate backed up by good tannic backbone. Made from 100% Charbono sourced from Shypoke Vineyard in Calistoga appassimento style like Amarone. The grapes are dried out for 42 days before being crushed, fermented, and aged 16 months in 50% new French oak. Production was extremely limited with only 420 bottles made. 15% ABV. $79.
