This review is for the 2017 Cab Franc Sans Oak. Yes, you read that correctly, sans oak. Served chilled. It’s the grown up version of rosé. It’s mature and smooth and delicate. And it’s just a wee bit chewy and a nice set of stone fruit notes ... cherry. And yet very raw ... not mature. No tannin flavors ... no acid. Just delicate ... not at all what I associate with cab franc. Try it. Chilled. Instead of rosé. On the hottest August day with a grilled pork loin.
