The only way to visit New Orleans is to get on their level before you enter the city. The Pinot is definitely not as good as the Cab, but at this point, I feel like this is the best I'm going to get this weekend. Oysters and crawfish, here I come.

The wine initially starts out smelling of wet dog. However, when given time to breath it shifts to a mix of cherries, vanilla, earth and cigars then mellows to strawberry, spice and rose petals after it's been out for an hour or so.
