On the nose, very dark currants, ripe & ruby; blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, black cherries, sweet tarry notes, black licorice, good soft baking spices, nice loamy dry soils, rich dark earth, stems, fields dark lavender and violets.

On the palate; the body is thick, rich and full. The tannins are beautifully rounded and velvety. Dark currants/cassis; ripe & ruby; blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, black cherries, sweet tarry notes, black licorice, good soft baking spices, suede leather, saddle-wood, nice loamy dry soils, rich dark earth, stems, fields dark lavender and violets. The structure, tension, length and balance is in great harmony. Beautiful round acidity and a ripe, ruby, rich, elegant, polished finish that lasts & lasts.

It was nice but not memorable. Took a long time. To open up.

This is a big red blend. Upon opening I thought there were notes of tar, smoke and to a lesser extent dusty fruit. This needed to open a while but it was worth the wait. Dark fruits dance with dark chocolate a bit more tar and tobacco. This is a big wine and with big tannins and a good amount of acid. Get your favorite steak and enjoy.

Full of flavor, good with spicy meat or tomato based dish. Finish is bit too tannin for me but with right food paring I’m sure it has different finish
