All the ripe cherries on the nose, very effervescent on the tongue with a good bit of acid and the continued cherries,, but light bodied and mild tannins. A good first wine, but food would overpower it. @Digby's

Lighter body, dark fruit, not very oaky. This does not say old Rioja, if that is what you are after. Not bad for $10

Surprisingly refreshing in spite of it being lighter than what I'd normally choose. Hint of spice at the end. Good with a cigar, as are most things.
