Still holding nice mix of red and black fruits, layered with earth& tabacco. Decanted for three hours, perfect with NYE Rib Roast with shiitake mushroom gravy.

Rich and creamy oak monster.

Nice bottle and close to its drinking window if not now. Sorry but Clos rougeard had me tonight

Every few months I open up one of these 2006 bottles. It still has many years left, not near full maturity yet.

Lots of tannins still and I thought maybe I waited too long.

We have been drinking this vintage for a while now. It was never quite the perfect time to drink. It's finally the perfect time to drink. To To say this wine is perfect is an understatement. Velvety body and well integrated tannins. When you see those articles in the magazine, that's say "Drink or Hold" ~in my opinion~Drink now.

30 min decant. Elegant, medium body with good balance. Tannins have mellowed out. Drinking great.
