Can't quite put my finger on the fruit here - somewhere right in-between red and black fruit, but quite sensual and kept me coming back to smelling this over and over. Beautiful balance on the palate with well-integrated soft round tannins (after about 2hrs of decanting), no oak predominance, medium acidity, moderate+ finish. Would have never pegged this for Volnay blind - more Chambolle-like in its elegance. Really enjoyed this and kept getting better throughout the night - would expect this to get even better over the next 5-10 years.
