Wohoo so I gave Mr. Spittoon the task of choosing this month's #thetcwineclub choices and so far I think he's done a pretty decent job. This wee Pinot hails from Gippsland in Victoria and as one of the club members told me it's; "Light, almost sweet to taste then it tapers to dry. Enjoyable".
What did I think personally? Well it'd make a beautiful nail polish colour with its plummy red shade. The nose made me think of mulled wine and Christmas - think cherries and baking spices. The palate was light and fruit forward with a smooth texture - I chilled mine a bit as room temp in WA is not really ideal to serve red wines (think more 13-15 degrees for light reds like this style of Pinot).
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
