Tasted September 2012
Perfect example of how craftsmanship and proper treatment can beat any superstitions! Petit Verdot is no longer little brother of Merlot or Cabernet but 100% single player.
The result is outstanding - elegant, full-bodied, opulent with silky tannins, deep rich crimson to purple colour. Nose is full of black fruits and berries - cherries, prunes, blueberries, figs to name a few.
Intense, a bit smoky, black currant palate with hints of juniper turns into lingering finish with pleasant spicy white pepper notes.
