Maru means severe (severo) and scuro (dark) in the Salento dialect.
Niuru Maru grapes were first introduced by Greeks of the Ionian archipelago.
These are hand picked early mornings, then part is aged in barriques 6 months the rest kept in steel.
Has a deep, garnet red color, flavor is full and round, high structure, intense aroma from long aging.
