Good! Solid Italian. Not too heavy. Lighter and good flavors. Nothing complex. Would get again. Very pleasant and easy drinking.

In the Salento region of Italy, not far from Lecce, also not far from the Sea, along the road to Taranto, at the gates of Salice Salentino, a land of Sun with flourishing Olives and Vineyards.
Maru means severe (severo) and scuro (dark) in the Salento dialect.
Niuru Maru grapes were first introduced by Greeks of the Ionian archipelago.
These are hand picked early mornings, then part is aged in barriques 6 months the rest kept in steel.
Has a deep, garnet red color, flavor is full and round, high structure, intense aroma from long aging.
13%ABV
$11
