I was a little worried when I opened this because the cork had hints of soil and mildew so I thought this bottle may be corked. It was not however. This wine is Youthful and maybe a little immature to be drunk already. Notes of Cranberry, over ripe strawberry and bing cherry followed by subtle hints of spice. On the palate I got all those same notes as well as some green bell pepper. Well balanced with a nice long finish.

Vintage 2014. After initial aeration, very very dry and earthy/dusty. Letting it sit open to see if it improves.

Musty, like cave earth, undisturbed. Gritty gives way to unripe Cherry, linear acids lets go of Hickory staves.
Old works, rustic, needs a few more years to find itself. I was in the mood for a new cab franc. This satisfied that need.
