This bottle has some age on her. Nothing fancy label. Basic. Smells old. Books and leather. Also some fruit and flowers in the aroma (cherries, violets, rose petal). Flavors are soft. Smooth. Baked goods of the fruit and cream variety and some nice ‘classic fine red wine’ notes. Think there is some merlot and/or cab in this. It’s aged nicely. Has a gruff elegance in it. I’ll never know what it taste like in the younger years, but this 12 year old bottle is quite lovely.
