Château Brane-Cantenac
Baron de Brane Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend
Can't pass up a glass of this when at a French Restaurant. This is an excellent reflection of the velvet hammer Margaux style, and idea of what the top estate wines could offer you from Chateau Brane Cantenac. Black plum skins, dates, blackberry liqueur, pencil box, allspice, medium bodied, focused tannin, perfect for duck l'orange.

Nov 13th, 2018Fantastic value. Typical Margaux aromatics but lacking in taste. Gritty tannins. I would rather be drinking this at dinner than a $50 Napa cab.

Jul 22nd, 2018Lovely wine, albeit a bit young. Plums, cassis, and blackberries. Nice structure and finish. Probably better to let it decant a bit. Improved over the course of the evening.
