Good tannin for a Malbec from Cahors. Earthy, cherry, raspberry, licorice. Chocolate on palate and continuing onto the finish.

May 15th, 2016Dusty, tannic nose with a bit of leather and shoe polish, not much fruit. French oak along with its characteristic pop of vanilla is dominant. More cherry syrup on the palate than expected with tongue-stripping and grippy tannins and more new French oak. Intense. Would settle down and become less oak-dominant with time.
