This is nothing to write home about, but it's pretty solid for about $12. To my untrained palate, there are two kinds of not so great red wines: the ones that are over-oaked and have a bitter, astringent finish and the ones that are a little too light and the nose is a little too faint. The former isn't worth drinking. This is definitely the latter. There's nothing objectionable, but it's also not likely to be your first choice unless it's a Tuesday and you're the only one having a glass worth dinner.
