The 2020 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Les Vieilles Roussanne was matured for 9 months in a combination of old and new oak barriques. It offers pronounced aromas of spring blossom, quince, yellow apple, candied pear, lemon peel and verbena tea. On the palate this 2020 white is medium to full-bodied and framed by soft acidity. Straw to pale gold in color. On the nose butterscotch, flint, lemon verbena and nectarine. In the mouth fresh lemon, apricots, slight asparagus, honeysuckle, and gun smoke on the finish. Incredibly lush with a deliciously long finish.
