2011v. Deep purple and slightly stained legs. Plush fruit on the nose: blueberry, cherry, plum, and a little cassis. Baking spices and cedar from pronounced oak and a little earth. Well balanced and a really smooth finish after a good decant. 80% merlot + 10% cab sav + 10% cab franc. I'm not a Bordeaux expert, but '11 was a tough growing year and early harvest and if this bottle is any reflection of that- it's in the lack of ripeness in the fruit flavors of merlot (blueberry, plum). 15% ABV- serve @ cellar temp to tame heat
