Dark cherry red, heavy, hints of smoke and ash, not overly sweet and partially tannic, long lasting finish. According to a site online the makeup is 85% merlot 10% Cabernet franc 5% Cabernet Sauvignon; however judging by taste that seems inaccurate. It's grown in clay and limestone soil. The vines are 15-25 years old.
