Grande Cuvée Prestige Cahors Malbec

Slightly smoky, leather, iron, earth, hints of eucalyptus; lots of dark plum, cassis, anise; medium-plus acid, great tannic structure.

Kinda nice, medium bodied, bright, bloody, cloves; I had hoped the astringency would dissipate a bit as it aired... which it didn't.

Christmas dinner wine. Homemade lasagna. Ham. Sweet potatoes. Wine makes a great gift! Well known via word of mouth!

Solid. Not remarkable.

Not very memorable. Pretty meh.

My first Cahors wine. Have to say I missed the roundness of a Bordeaux at the end but a delicious one nonetheless
