Such a classy nose of well structured, fresh black fruits led by blackcurrant & cassis interlaced with cedar and a light graphite core that should show more as this ages. Palate is tightly packed but beautifully tailored, firm and impactful but with fine tannin and a deftness of touch. Quite haunting red & black fruits hang on a great length. Incredibly classy stuff though not showy, old money.

An average vintage but the Lafite keeps its promise to deliver a top first cru quality.. To be drunk now. Although a light balanced style with the fruit and savory notes equal. More of a grand cru burgundy burgundy finesse. We sell at £1500
