Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

Tried this for a second time. This bottle didn't have much fruit left, but was very interesting and complex. A great bottle of wine.

Couldn't hope for a better condition bottle. Very top shoulder fill, pristine label, intact capsule, cork soft but holding.

Wine was pleasant but never has been one of the top '61s. Light body, low acid, dried out fruit and earth. Ferric nose after 30 minutes. As the French might say épuisée.

Held up beautifully!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Yes, winegazmic. So sexy, so nuanced and so much tied for WOTN.

This is the most elegant of the 61 great Bordeaux as near perfect balance and grace. Few left now.

First bottle not showing well. The age not holding up. Second bottle showing better. Still not convinced. Drink now
