No transition from edge to center - lots of licorice and some cherry on the nose some burnt oak/orange as well. Taste: Sour plumb, oak, hay, strong mid palette and finish - there's a lot going in with this wine - almost too much to describe. Best paired with braised beef, veal, roasted chicken. Definitely a good food wine.
