Dec 18th, 2016Inky palace. Cigar notes, smells of high alcohol but doesn’t carry through on the palate. Smokey Mushroom and strong structure. Needs some time to open up.

Drank this with The Fleiscmans and Yips. Fell flat unfortunately. Either needed to be decanted or past its prime, not sure which.

Full of fresh, youthful plummy fruit with a strong herbaceousness, undertones of cedar, woody notes, flowers and black tea, a whiff of pencil shavings, backed with an energetic mineral spine and still plenty of grippy tannins

'95. Past its prime, but still gathers its fruit for a great presence in the mouth. The dark berries are there, mouldy tobacco (sign if its age), bark.
