Run of the mill medoc. Leather, heavy tannins, dry (pucker up). OK, but better be cheap and served with something to eat.

Dec 6th, 2017Not bad, I’m sure it could have breathed more. Not too oaky and subtle peppery notes. If it had sat more, I think it would have been nicer with my meal and complemented the stewed beef better.

This is a left bank Cab, good deal for $17. Med acid, med tannin, not much complexity. Good for picnics, as a gateway red. Will perhaps get better with age.

Drank 10/19/17. Tasting pour.
Nose of earth, black fruits, and petrol. Fruit still closed off and subdued, but full bodied with dark fruit flavors lurking in the background. Moderate finish. Age another 5 years. Rated on potential.
4/20/7/4/4 + 50 = 89 pts.
