Château Pouget
Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend
Oak and black currant aroma. Very traditional. Tree’s. Black fruits. Showed Margaux’s feature, acidity balanced. 10 years made it ready to drink, but getting better over 4~5 hours. 2013 @6980, Uki JH, 230127-240217

Jan 27th, 2023Cedar, cigar box, black currant, earth, and a floral thing lingering in the background (could it be a rose scent?) the palate is rather on the thin side, a small, pleasant matter without weight, a radiant black currant fruit all along, some joyful tannins, with a grain which gives it a nice complex mouthfeel. The finish is fruity, a bit toasty and leaves a nice aftertaste. We paired it with homemade spaghetti bolognese (I know it's a bit decadent 😏) and the pairing actually worked better than expected. This is certainly not a good vintage, thus the wine lacks a bit of horse power but it's delicate, complex and very well done. I like it very much! #sundaynighttreat(before the night actually begins 😅)
