A lot of tomato juice on the nose, mixed with currants and plum. Gravelly tannins, and comfortable acidity. A lot of minerality on the palate. Definitely a wine that needs food to pull out its potential

Since French wines continue to sky rocket after 2009 & 2010 stellar vintages, I haven't been drinking them as frequently. This Bordeaux that I can only assume is from The Saint Julien region, was really impressive. Elegant forward fruit with a smooth finish and light tannins, I was impressed with the young wine's balance and it's under $15 price tag. Definitely worth trying again. Thanks for sharing Tony! Cheers!
