Chateau St. Jean
Cinq Cépages Sonoma County Red Blend
Last rated this 4 years ago. Then I said: “Smooth, excellent, lush wine at 4 years...will be exceptional at 6-8 I believe.” Turns out I was right! 96/100.

Feb 25th, 2021Beautiful inky color. Leather, tobacco on nose. Tannins prominent at first, soften as wine breathes. Bold rich dark fruit on palate. Smooth, excellent, lush wine.

May 20th, 2019Not a hit for the price. A little too sweet and flabby without enough tannic structure or acidity. Could not stand up to lamb. Maybe too much Merlot in the blend.
