The intense nose shows a nice mix of ripe blackberry and blueberry with fresh raspberry. Notes of steeped black tea, forest floor, and violet too. The palate is more supple than the nose suggested, but remains lively with good fruit intensity and fresh acidity. The tannins are still quite firm at almost 10 years.
A powerful PN with finesses and nuances.
The winery, with one of the steepest vineyards in the US and high tech equipment, was founded by the CEO of a prominent semiconductor company.
