Had been waiting to try this one, but got disappointed. The cork was weak, coming out in three pieces, but the wine, very slightly oxidized and almost maderized. As such it had Armagnac notes that weren't unpleasant, but certainly weren't intended. Dark berry and solid tannins, unctuous mouthfeel. Bet this big fat wine sings like Aretha when it isn't so compromised. Bad Luck.

Overpriced for the enjoyment, but still a great Châteauneuf-du-Pape to break in rookies to the region.
