Dark Ruby in colour. Very gamey with barnyard notes but no Brett no bandaid. On the palate raspberry notes - sweetish. Medium plus intensity with medium minus very fine savoury tannins. Love these aged CdPs but sometimes earlier consumption gives more fruit and less smelly savouriness. It boils down to individual choice. I have some 2007 CdPs (a good vintage) which I will have a closer look at in Autumn and Winter. One of the 1001 Wines.

Hot at first but Asian plum and Korean bbq sauce shows later along with wild cherry/dark fruit. It’s massive and may not hold but really enjoyable now.

Drinking phenomenally well. Hoisin sauce, asian plum, cassis, espresso, and cherry. Gamey and meaty as well. Beautiful stuff. Great with braised short ribs
