Ordinarily a blending grape, this white clairette has been made into something special in the hands of a South African producer. This is the only plot that is left in South Africa. Very restrained nose, and more a wine of texture and thought than fruit. Lime curd, basil leaf, ginger on a textured palate influenced by much skin contact. Very refreshing salinity

Fascinating wine. More Alpine than Rhone in balance. Weight without excessive alcohol (some skin contact). Expressive minerality, nicely balanced - if not high - acidity, delicious fruit. Thanks for sharing @Aaron Meeker
