Cahors Malbec notes coming through here with violets, iron, camp fire, juicy black currants and blackberry, tremendous depth and purity, yet super elegant and fresh on the palate. A little flashier than your typical Cahors but this shows good potential of what is capable here while still keeping with tradition.

Great new Malbec from Cahor, Bravo to Paul Hobbs and his wine team in France! Really expressive with plum, and black fruits, lush and rich!

Elegant, deeply flavored wine with silken texture and very well balanced tannins and acidity. Long elegant finish. This is Malbec without the overwrought heaviness sometimes found in Mendoza. Great finesse.

Age 6-7 years or decant at breakfast. This Paul Hobbs collaboration is a hulk, but its tannins are impressively finessed for Cahors.

Purity, complexity and freshness rein here as vivid aromas and flavors of fresh violet flowers, minerality, graphite, some peppercorn, cassis, and plum. The structure is firm but with fine to medium grain tannin. Excellent acidity on the long and pure finish.
