Such intensity with a remarkably lithe palate. Citrus/orange, flowers/dried rose/sap, herb medley/tea.
Reminds me of camping in the mountains: sitting on mulch in front of a fire, surrounded by pine trees, breathing fresh air filled with dried herb aromas. It is wild and should suit equally feral foods.

May 1st, 2016Venezia Giulia IGT 2012, Pinot Grigio, 14%. Bottle tasted in Feb 2015.
Sorry, I'm not a big fan of this type of "orange wines," I respect the producers, but the end result is not my style.
The color of this wine is more like caramel with copper hues.
Nose: burnt butter, dried rose petals, a little honey, a little citrous. Very elegant and intriguing .
The producer told us that it had been bottle recently, so it needs more refining time in the bottle.
In the mouth it was just too astringent and acidic.
