"Basque country overlaps with the Rioja appellation, and Diez-Caballero's 2014 Reserva embodies that unique culture's esthetic and gastronomic identity. Its aromatics leap from the glass in waves of blackberry and vanilla notes while dark cherry flavors and polished tannins extend through the satisfying finish"

Nov 29th, 2022Solid everyday wine. Good value. Smoky and slightly spicy. More bark and undergrowth than fruit - somewhat tangy. Tannins are moderate but linger quite a while. Definitely an interesting expression of a Tempranillo.
