What a surprise w/ food! Alone, the implies a sweet wine. Full bodied, honey & pit fruit even though it's dry. Didn't care for it. At the dinner table, the impression of sweetness disappears, lovely dinner wine. Full body & texture crave umami rich foods.

Dry Gros Manseng with its lovely nutty, honeyed, oxidative character. Beautiful deep golden color. Great acidity.

Fine alone, but really opened up with the meal (grilled pork chops). Ripe peach, lime, crushed rock - and bought it on sale for 4.99! You get lucky sometimes.

Interesting. A traditionally sweet grape that is dry in this vintage.

Interesting. Like a flat champagne but more depth. Dry. Some oxidization. Enjoyed this.
