Almost salty/fizzy in its minerality. Notes of apricot and nectarine. Lovely.

Jul 10th, 2017Delectable got this wine wrong. Here's a description from Weygandt importers: The Chevreau family owns the Chateau de Crezancy domaine, though this project is separate from the Chateau. Nicolas Chevreau has created a cuvée, Terres Blanches, from two parcels—Epsailles and Cote de Reigny (sometimes shown as Derriere Reigny on maps), both very steep slopes. The soil in each is Terres Blanches or marneaux lime/clay. Part of the parcel in Reigny is very old vines (over 60 years). Yields in 2015 were 50 hl/ha (far less than the appellation) and natural ripeness was just under 13%, so the wine is not chaptalized. There is no fining and only one light filtration over white clay. The 2015 is a brilliant combination of ripe, fresh flavors with perfect balancing acidity, salinity and a long finish.
Excellent wine with melon, hint of lemon but balanced by crisp minerality. Really enjoyed this wine.
