Domaine de Chevalier
La Petite Lune Red Bordeaux Blend
The nose screams young merlot : strawberries, red and black currant along with some earthy and leathery notes that I very typically associate with that grape type. The palate is very well made with a good acid drive, some red berries notes all along, a very soft and almost plushy mouthfeel, some weight, some grainy, dusty tannins in the rear that kick start a finish with fruit, that tiny layer of tannins that dries up in the end. It's inexpensive and very well made. Less than 8 EUR. Again a great bargain
