Hmm. It’s good. So better than bad. Even borderline very good problem is I’ve been drinking Chenin galore and wouldn’t put it on my tops list on account of slightly too much lambs wool. It’s either just a tad bit past it’s prime or needs another year to let the savory and nutty notes meld with the just-drying apple and pear notes. Is this it’s awkward phase or did it peak before I got it? Humph. Please tell me if you’ve had this, what year and when.

2011 Vintage - baked apple, pear , quince paste, macerated cantaloupe melon, honey, powdered sugar, paraffin wax, dried linden flower, chamomile, mineral, nutmeg, almond croissant. Very voluptuous. Slight RS balance by good acidity but pretty high alcohol stands out - 14.5%. Very opulent style. Enjoyable right out the bottle, but as it opens, it's just too much!

2011 vintage. Color is straw yellow mixed with pale peach. Super-chenin on the nose....Tons of mineral, wet wool, toasty-confectionary tones that are finely tuned. On the palette, marzipan, and sweet basil, meet almond skin and a touch of R.S. perfectly at the finish all intertwined with striking acidity. Finish is long. (Very interesting wine)

Great color, sexy nose is slightly oxy, oily, sweet almond. Palate is rich with a beam of brightness; lush and thick, rolls into s long progressive finish. Great.

Lovely Chenin not as much bracing acidly orchard fruits on nose. Orchard fruits on palate wand honeysuckle and more body than Riesling. Some texture on mouth.
