Vieilles Vignes Chateauneuf Du Pape Red Rhone Blend

This must be in a muted phase.
Mostly hefty Syrah showing through, little differential flavours here.

A nose of saluted licorice

Heavily weighted, A mouthful of elegant dark fruits wrapped in cedar, Thai basil, sea air, eucalyptus, blackberry, Mexican cacao.
Very approachable and pleasant after - couple of hours airtime.

Not very full bodied but tasty. Needs air to open up. Definitely improved as the meal progressed. Suggest decanting.
