nothing better than a lil' red #wine with yer pasta. Intense, beautiful nose of red fruit and beetroot, joined by a touch of smoke. A powerful, balanced, near full-bodied Pinot which will improve for decades.

96 is supposed to be the best vintage since the 90, really good acidity and delicate perfumed fruit. I'm really lucky to be able to taste this wine!

This one has many great years ahead of it, quite indicative of the intensity of the vintage, likewise the vineyard, it needed a little time to open up, but the intensity of darker berried fruit really shone through, give it some more time...

Rapier acid line but there is enough fruit to give flesh to the wine. Still very tightly coiled, youthful.

Got the privilege of checking the DRC box last night. Grateful beyond words for the people in this industry that are so willing to share knowledge and juice of the world. Liquid motivation to keep paying my dues and giving my heart and hands to the winemaking craft. Incredible to dive into this wine and really get a sense for how dynamic and timeless these wines truly are. Marathon runners of the Pinot Noir world. Burgundian classic.
