Everything I love about burgundy even in a not ideal vintage. Asian spice box, ripe red fruit, acidity. Stupendous

My first Romanee Conti I purchased many years ago. Picked up at an auction. It has the actual price sticker on it of $44.99 from the store. I paid much more. The color was ruby red, a rich red. I got a hint of black berry and raspberry. It had a log finish. No need to decant. A great Pinot noir. Had it with spicy spaghetti & spicy turkey meatballs.
