What can I say? When you're drinking Pomeral, life is sublime. Haunting bouquet, full, but not overpowering. Aromas of black currant, fig, cedar, tobacco, caramel. Silken and complex on the palate, generous fruit, focus and structure. This is the kind of wine that ruins marriages because you fight over the last drop.

Bordeaux blend. 2008 Domain des Savines. Merlot, Cabernet, Cab Franc. More youthful noise. Barnyard (manure). Baked cherry pie, coffee, nuttiness. Taste: smooth, easy. Long finish. Cherry. Bitter coffee edge, vegetal edge. Chocolate. Bitter cherry. Some tannins. Fruitiness. Aggressive. Like it a bit.
