Bandol Mourvedre Blend

Notes from memory. This was so deep and understated. The fragrance was subtle, but with a grilled hangar steaks slathered in chimichurri it shined. Perfectly mature and so long.

Domaine Du Gros ‘Noré harvests some of the most pedigreed fruit in Bandol, for years selling their grapes to Domaine Ott and Château de Pibarnon. Today, they craft a Bandol Rouge of elegance and length. Its fruit profile in this vintage veers just a notch redder than many of its peers - tasting of red currants, plum and game. 80% Mourvèdre, 15% Grenache, 5% Cinsaut.

New Bandol producer for me and just killing it the second it was opened.

Absurdly perfect, upsetting, stunning. I wish it wasn't so expensive.

Pure funk, as always.

Oh, this is good. Right up my alley. Some char and black cherry. Delicious now and probably damn good in the years to come as well.
