Gorgeous wine with garrigue, violet, smoky meat, wild strawberries, cloves, lavender, bay leaf and leather. This is so elegant already and will be even better balanced with a bit more time in bottle. Great examples of Southern Rhône grenache. Very enjoyable already.

One of my favorite producers. This one is a little young (the ‘98 is my favorite so far) but after 2 hours of air it was pretty smooth. It had a little bit of pepper, or wild purple flavor, but I’m not sure if was the syrah (sort of like K vintners?) or the more dominant grenache. A great Christmas wine.
