Very big dried cherries with mint on the nose, not unlike an aged alto Piemonte, but simplified. Dried cranberry, raspberry sorbet too. The fruit comes alive with some air. High acid, could live longer and still be of interest. There’s roasted poblano in there. The tannins are very soft now, like a merlot, but the finish has some light fine grip. Some kind of earth, nothing lush here. Spice on the finish too. $21
