Gorgeous. Complex yet fresh. A touch of mint and raw pepper above brandies cherries and forest floor. In a great place and paired super well with duck and pork/clams at Lucques.

Feb 2nd, 2018Great find at Howard’s. Blagny’s red and premier cru and ready to go. This doesn’t need any more aging. Needs decanting time. Fruit aromas open the wine with more than usual cloudiness of the juice. Strawberry in taste. ‘06 was the last year for red

Dec 30th, 2017Humble appellation and a challenging vintage but this was just lovely. Pretty floral notes with just enough sous bois quality to the pomegranate and cranberry fruit. The palates gets richer with air. Zesty and fresh on palate with nice earthy tones to the crunchy red fruit. This is not a complex profound wine but so enjoyable 17 years after the fruit was harvested.

Dec 13th, 2017Beguiling burg...slight browning on the rim hinting at its age, freshly cut strawberries, cherry, flowers, getting better with air, sous bois. If this is what aged burgundy is supposed to be like then my answer is yes.
