Silky tannins with fine developed fruit - prune, blackcurrant leaf, leather, liquorice, black pepper, almost claret-like cigarbox. Has ability to age for a couple moe years. Take a deep breath and you can pick the lavender and then you know this can only be a blend from the south. The only quibble is the slightly short finish than the rest of this elegant wine suggests. Well, beauty is fleeting. £24
