Cherry cola, black pepper, and dried Provencal herbs make for an expressive nose. Small but coating tannins, with crushed blackberry, jammy kirsch, licorice and soil. Beautiful bottle.

Smells like I just walked into incensed church yet at the same time, while I'm not a cigar smoker, smelling this gives me the strange feeling that I should light one up. Its heavy smoky fresh tobacco nose gives way to cloudy delicious self-loathing brooding berry that brings you back to Catholic mass. Bad on me? Good on the wine.

A little young (2010 vintage). Pretty dry. Notes of stone fruit, black currant, green pepper. Not much on the nose after decanting for 90 minutes--a little bit of hay and grass. Would have been better to wait a few more years before drinking.
